  All Day 15th Anniversary Deep Creek Dunk   For just $50 in pledges, Dunk participants take a quick dip behind Uno’s Bar and Grill in Deep Creek MD to raise funds for Special Olympics Maryland. The event is free to spectators, and Dunkers receive a commemorative sweatshirt, lunch courtesy of Uno Chicago Bar & Grill, group color photo, and the great feeling of freezing your “fur” off for a truly worthy cause!   All Day Poetry Out Loud   February 23, Noon Recitations as part of “Poetry Out Loud” regional competition will be given in FSU’s Lyric Theatre in Downtown Frostburg. “Poetry Out Loud” is a poetry recitation contest open to all high school juniors and seniors.   1:30PM 3:30PM Western MD Traditional Irish Music   February 23, 1:30-3:30PM Western Maryland Traditional Irish Music open sessions will be held in the Community Room of the Allegany Arts Council, locate at 9 N. Centre Street in Downtown Cumberland. Interested in learning traditional Irish tunes in a fun session atmosphere? Join us in our monthly slow sessions. (Upcoming sessions are March 23, April 20, May 26, June 23, July 28, Aug. 25, Sept. 22, Oct. 27, Nov. 10, and Dec. 28.) We will teach and play from a set list of session tunes at a slower than normal pace so beginner and intermediate players can more easily learn the core tunes one at a time. More advanced players who want to learn session tunes are encouraged to attend as well. Hosts are Terry Lee & Peter Pihos.
