Mountain Ridge High School will host a one-day craft fair on Saturday, March 16, 2013, that will benefit the school’s Academic Endowment Fund. The fair will be held from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. in the gymnasium.
Vendors may call or visit the school during regular school hours (8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.) to purchase a space. Applications may also be obtained online at www.mountainridgehigh.com or for more information, contact the school at 301-689-3377 or 301-687-8014.
( Payment for space and supplies is required in advance for the craft fair. Checks can be made payable to the Mountain Ridge High School Endowment Fund.
Spaces providing electricity are limited to a total of six and will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. The 10x10 spaces cost $25 per space. Vendors wishing to utilize a six foot table and two chairs may do so for an additional $10. Additional tables will cost $5 each.
The school will open at 6:30 a.m. the morning of the fair to accommodate vendor setup. )
February 25, 7PM World Artists Experiences and the International Division of Maryland’s Office of the Secretary of State, in conjunction with Frostburg State University, invite the public to attend a free screening of the film “Kung Fu Dunk” (Taiwan) in the FSU Lane Center Room 111. . Chicken Noodle/Bean Soup & Roll Sale
The Oldtown VFD Auxiliary will hold a Soup/Roll sale on Friday, March 1st. Orders for chicken noodle, bean soup and/or rolls should be placed by Monday, February 25th with any member or by calling (301) 759-2917
Activities for Life at Frostburg State University will offer infant and preschool swimming lessons (3 months to 3 years), as well as youth swimming lessons for ages 4 to 13. Both sections will be held Mondays and Wednesdays, from Feb. 25 through March 13, in the Cordts Physical Education Center swimming pool.
The infant and preschool lessons will be held from 5:30 to 6 p.m.
The youth swimming classes will be from 6 to 6:50 p.m. Youth swimming instruction is separated into skill levels based on the child’s swimming ability coming into class.
